This is the first ever gold medal for Lithuania in the U16 tournament.

Together with the gold medal Lithuania's big guy Jonas Valanciunas was also crowned as the MVP of the Termosteps U16 European Championship Men.

Valanciunas dominated every game in the competition and proved he's one of the most promising prospect in his generation.

The bronze medal of the Termosteps U16 European Championship Men has a home after Turkey beat France 77-65 to finish the games with a happy face.

Turkey came very-very close to the finals, but eventually found the way to get on the podium thanks to a big performance in the medal game.

Serbia Finish On Winning Note // 24 August 2008

Serbia finished the Termosteps U16 European Championship Men with a sweet taste after a 60-56 win over Spain.

The squad from Belgrade takes the fifth spot in the competition, while Spain is 6th.

Croatia Secure Seventh Spot // 24 August 2008

Croatia finished the Termosteps U16 European Championship Men with an 83-77 win over Russia.

The Croats finish seventh as a result of the win, while Russia, who were minutes from the semi-finals, dropped to the 8th spot in the final standings.

Czech Us Out // 23 August 2008

History showed its face in Pescara, Italy as the Czech Republic made it to the finals of the Termosteps U16 European Championship Men after a 69-64 win over Turkey in overtime.

The Czech Republic will play the winner between Lithuania and France.

Lithuania Maul France // 23 August 2008

After a thriller in the first semi-final Lithuania made it easier in their meeting with France behind a 73-47 win to qualify to the finals of the Termostep U16 European Championship Men.

The domination of the Lithuanian team was spotted early, but only in the second half they managed to leave France far behind and climb to a double-digit margin, from which there was only one direction.

Italy, Poland Stay In Division A // 23 August 2008

Georgia and Hungary are the two teams that say goodbye to Division A and will play the next U16 European Championship Men in Division B.

After a three games in the Classification Round they both finished in the last places and will be ranked at the bottom of the competition.

Serbia Bounce Russia // 23 August 2008

Serbia recovered with a 63-54 win over Russia in the second game of the 5-8 classification games at the Termosteps U16 European Championship Men in Italy.

As a result Serbia will play tomorrow for the fifth spot against Spain while Russia will try to win seventh place on Croatia's account.

Greece Introduces Basketball World To Spiderman // 23 August 2008

The Termosteps U16 European Championship Men has not been a huge success for Greece.

The blue and white will play in the 9-12 classification games after winning two games and losing four, but their most remembered contribution to these games would be the exposure of Linos-Spyridon Chrysikopoulos to basketball world.

Spain Better Croatia // 23 August 2008

Spain wrote a 62-56 victory over Croatia in the first game of the 5-8 classification games at the Termosteps U16 European Championship Men.

Tomorrow, in the closing day of the competition, Spain will fight for the fifth spot against the winner between Russia and Serbia.
