Germany capped a magnificent undefeated run at the U16 European Championship for Men Division B in Bosnia-Herzegovina by beating Montenegro to win the title.

Mathis Mönninghoff poured in 19 points to lead the Germans to a 76-69 triumph.

Germany, Montenegro Win Promotion // 24 August 2008

Germany and Montenegro each won promotion after prevailing in their respective semi-finals at the U16 European Championship for Men Division B in Sarajevo.

The two will play for the title on Sunday.

Germany, Bulgaria Into Semis // 23 August 2008

Germany will meet Bulgaria and Sweden will take on Montenegro in the semi-finals of the U16 European Championship for Men Division B after a thrilling Friday in Sarajevo.

Most of the drama was in Group F with Bulgaria (2-1) edging Finland 76-74 to finish in second place ahead of Slovenia (2-1).

Germany, Montenegro, Slovenia and Bulgaria all got off to winning starts in the Qualifying Round for places one through eight at the U16 European Championship Division B in Sarajevo.

In Group E, the Germans prevailed 106-70 over hosts Bosnia-Herzegovina while Montenegro edged Belarus 82-80.

Swedes Stay Undefeated In Division B // 19 August 2008

Sweden are flying high at the top of Group D at the U16 European Championship for Men Division B in Sarajevo after a 79-62 triumph over FYR Macedonia.

The success was the fourth in as many games for the Swedes.

Strong Start Propels Germans To Decisive Win // 19 August 2008

Germany, Montenegro and Slovenia all remained undefeated at the U16 European Championship for Men Division B on Monday in Sarajevo.

The Germans (4-0) stormed out to a 29-9 lead against Estonia (2-2) and won their Group A meeting, 72-51.

Montenegro Edge Hosts In Division B // 18 August 2008

Bojan Ratkovic made the go-ahead lay-up with 13 seconds remaining in overtime as Montenegro edged hosts Bosnia-Herzegovina 90-87 at the U16 European Championship Division B in Sarajevo.

Mladen Novakovic scored 25 points and blocked four shots for the Montenegrins.
